The Terror is Finally Out with the Official Release of WORLD OF HORROR

Developer Panstasz and publisher Ysbryd Games announced that the Eldritch nightmares have been freed from the bindings of Early Access. That's because WORLD OF HORROR has officially been released and now available for the PC worldwide through Steam, itch io, GOG, and the Microsoft Store.

Fans in Japan can also experience the 1-bit terror on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. The console versions of the game is set to haunt the regions of North America and Europe on October 26. The game is inspired by the apocalyptic works of Junji Ito and H.P. Lovecraft.

The game is set in the seaside town of Shiokawa where a madness has been silently infecting unsuspecting residents. You'll need to solve the grisly mysteries and discover the true source before it's all too late. Be sure to scour each shadowy corner and look for those valuable artifacts. You can also perform cabalistic rituals especially if you want to delay the inevitable. Remember that the Old Gods are watching.

WORLD OF HORROR has you face gore, death, and madness, to name a few. All of these are in the unforgiving roguelike scenarios which features unimaginably horrific encounters, ruinous curses, and dark, twisted locations. There are 14 characters available for you to choose from. Weigh the stats and perspectives of each character and strategize well to make use of their strengths.

The game offers turn-based combat that's inspired by genre classics. Get to wield improvised weapons or simply attack using your fists and kicks to survive and move to the next investigation. There are also sketchy shopkeepers and canine-run retailers where you can buy proper weapons and protective gear. In addition, there is endless replayability waiting for you in 20 mysterious cases, all filled with procedurally generated encounters.

The studio announced that those on the PC can come up with custom cases through a wide range of modding tools. They can also access more mysteries masterminded by the community. Talking about the game, Panstasz founder Pawel Kozminski shared in a statement that this achievement has been years in the making and it's a journey he doesn't regret. He assured everyone that the path doesn't end here.
