The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt picks up another milestone at the recent 2026 gamescom Awards. In particular, the title brought home three awards.
The first is the Best Trailer/Announcement award for both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered along with Songs of the Past DLC. The upcoming DLC sees the return of none other than Geralt of Rivia as he makes a return to the Path with another adventure. In addition to a new region available for players to explore, there are also new quests being offered.
Another award was the Best Merch (Consumer Award). In particular, this relates to the pin and medallion that were both available at the DLC booth during gamescom. Speaking of the booth, it appears that the jury was impressed enough to give it the Jury Award for Best Booth.

- Best PC Game: Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000
- Best Sony PlayStation Game: Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game: Rayman Legends Retold
- Best Mobile Game: Where Winds Meet
For those not familiar with gamescom, it's the biggest gaming event in the world. The event is also seen as the most important business platform when it comes to the international games industry. It brings together developers, trade visitors, companies and millions of fans worldwide. The event is held in Cologne, Germany, and for this year ran from August 24 to August 30.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in May 2015 and is the third title in The Witcher video game series. It offers an open world with a third-person perspective. The game has players take on the role of Geralt of Rivia, a mercenary monster slayer. They've been tasked with tracking down Ciri, the Child of Prophecy, considered as a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world. For the PC, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on Steam.
