The Witches Festival is Back in The Elder Scrolls Online

The Witches Festival event returns to The Elder Scrolls Online today, October 23. Throughout the haunted holiday, players can claim cursed compensations that include Plunder Skills, XP boosts, and Event Tickets, to name a few. The event ends November 5.

During the event period, everyone has the chance to enjoy a passive 100% boost to XP gain across Tamriel. The thing is, in past events the source of the bonus was the Witchmother’s Whistle. While the item remains available, this time around there's no need to have it to enjoy the additional XP.

To collect the whistle and enjoy a ladle or two of delectable hag’s brew, simply open the Crown Store and obtain the free quest "The Witchmother's Bargain." This quest can also be picked up by speaking with the Crow Caller. The Crow Caller should just be outside of each Olyve's Brewery in Stonefalls, Glenumbra, or Auridon. Those able to complete the introductory quest can get their hands on the Witchmother's Whistle tool. Those who finished the quest in a previous year's event no longer to get the item

Once they have the whistle, players need to blow it which results in summoning the "Witchmother's Cauldron." This is where they can then drink to polymorph themselves into a spooky scary skeleton.

Rewards Available

During the Witches Festival, players can receive a Plunder Skull container every time they defeat a boss monster. Opening these reward containers can have players receive Worms, Crawlers, Guts, or Insect Parts. They can also get any one of these:

  • Alchemy reagents
  • A festival-themed furnishing recipe
  • A festival-themed provisioning recipe
  • A complete festival-themed furnishing
  • A festival-themed sellable treasure

That's not all since there's also a chance to obtain one of these:

  • A Hollowjack style item
  • A Dremora style item

In addition, for those who defeat a unique boss type for the first time each day, they'll be rewarded with a special Dremora Plunder Skull. In addition to what's already mentioned, the special Dremora Plunder Skull also gives players the chance to get one of these items:

  • A Witches Festival Writ
  • A Glenmoril Treasure Map
  • A Glenmoril armor outfit style page
  • A Crowborne Hunter outfit style page
  • Hagmatron’s face marking runebox (New!)
  • Hagmatron’s body marking runebox (New!)
