Third Chapter of Moves of the Diamond Hand Comes Out October 26

This is the third of five planned chapters.

Cosmo D Studios announced that the third chapter of Moves of the Diamond Hand is releasing on October 26. This is the third of five planned chapters for the dice-rolling, jazz-drenched, and narrative RPG.

The third chapter takes place in the dilapidated Building 18. It's a residence of sorts which looms tall over the circus grounds. Here, the clones who can't integrate into society or those that have been kicked out of it, are put out to pasture.

The upcoming chapter has players being asked to hand deliver a message to one of the building’s residents. There they find themselves caught up in a tale of kafkaseque-dread and deadpan surrealness as they explore the liminal floors. While Building 18 may have seen better days, it seems that there are unsettling secrets and opportunities that might prove useful in joining Circus X.

New System

In addition to introducing players to a new location and narrative content, they also find their own strategic possibility space expanding with the latest update in the form of the emerging Moves System. It brings with it a new and turn-based flow to dice-duals. In this one, each round breaks the rules to deliver a heightened sense of pace and push-pull tension.

Under the new system, each dice rolling round asks players to choose a unique "Move." This rule-bending changes how dice rounds are won and lost. The Moves cost the player valuable resources they’ve built up over the first two chapters. This means that they’ll have to think strategically about which moves to choose. Check out the full details of the Moves system here.

Moves of the Diamond Hand is a narrative RPG that’s powered by dice and intrigue. It has players go on a quest to become a part of the legendary Circus X in a bid to mint their destiny. The problem is that Circus X isn’t hiring and there’s plenty of people who also want a piece of their magic and of course, their money. To become part of this elite crew, players need to figure out a way in.

Moves of the Diamond Hand is officially available in Early Access on Steam.
