A new update has been released for Trove and brings with it overhaul to the PvP. In particular, it sees new modes being added into one matchmaking queue along with rebalanced combat and new rewards for everyone to earn.
For quite some time, the PvP for Trove has been all about Bomber Royale. With this new update, players can now also queue for Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch. All of the four modes can be accessed with the touch of a button and offer matches ranging from 2v2 to 5v5. Players should also be happy to know that they now have a fresh start on Battle Level. Then as players raise their Battle Level, they increase their battle factor, allowing them to earn more Battle Mode Boxes each week.
Meanwhile, the updated matchmaking has players join matches that are forming and it includes during the pre-match countdown. Teams automatically rebalance as players join to help keep team sizes even. Another improvement is on the combat. It has been rebalanced to allow for newer players to have a better chance against well-equipped opponents. While stronger gear still helps, each additional point of power adds a smaller benefit. In addition, stats are capped. Still, this should give players more room to win through teamwork and tactics.
As mentioned, the update also introduces exclusive rewards for PvP. Players can earn Auras by leveling up their Battle Level. They can also get Wings, Allies, and more, using Battle Coins earned from completing PvP matches.
Existing reward tracks remain available. Each day, players can earn a bonus reward if they participate in a PvP match. There’s also additional Battle Mode Boxes containing limited-duration, PvP-only banners for additional matches they play. The PvP progression track also has 50 levels to unlock, which unlock new auras: Unceasing Wrath, Silent Wrath, Aurelian Zenith, and Aurelian Crown.
Trove is a free-to-play MMO where players get to grab their friends, hone their blades, and set off into a vast and blocky world. They get to fight against the forces of Shadow in realms that's filled with incredible dungeons and items created by fellow players. Trove is available on PC through Steam and its official website. The game was also released for consoles PlayStation and Xbox.
