It looks like the Spider-family is making its presence even stronger in the Battlerealm. That's because two of them are being added in Marvel Contest of Champions in the coming weeks.
Gwen & Venom
Let's start with Gwen Stacy. However, this isn't the Spider-Gwen that you know. Instead, this one is from Earth-65 and faced the mutated Venom Symbiote. On this earth, the Kingpin, also known as Matt Murdock, revealed to her that her father had actually been beaten into a coma by Rhino and had little to no chance of survival. Fueled by rage, she gives into the rhythms of her heart and allows the symbiote to take over. This gives Gwen immense destructive power and at the same time turns her into the most unstable and broken version of herself called Gwenom.

The Private Eye
Over on Earth-90214, it's 1930s New York and we see Peter B. Parker, the nephew of the activist Aunt May. He has a strong hatred for crime, particularly towards those who killed his Uncle Ben. One day, he gets into an accident while following a criminal tip. It resulted in Peter being bitted by a spider and gaining arachnid-like abilities. The public knows him as a Private Investigator though in reality, he secretly uses his powers to take down crime as the hardboiled Spider-Man Noir.
Spider-Man Noir arrives in the game on October 1.
New Event Quest
Everyone is invited to a new event quest which is titled "Shadow of a Doubt." The event begins with a big trouble. It's a kind of trouble that lurks in dark alleys and can even make the shadows nervous. The good news is that Spider-Man Noir is on the case. However, the question is whether he'll be enough to crack this case of corruption, confusion, and challenging Champions? Making things a bit more difficult is that none other than Gwenom makes an appearance.
The event runs September 9 to October 6.
Marvel Contest of Champions invites players to step into The Battlerealm and experience epic 1v1 combat. It features various Super Heroes and Villains from across the Marvel Universe. The game was first released on mobile platforms through iOS and Android. Then in June 2025 it was made available for PC and fully optimized for mouse, keyboard, and controller on the big screen.
Players get to take on the role of a Summoner chosen by The Collector. They assemble a powerful team from a roster of more than 300 Champions. Players can engage in fast-paced battles against enemies and players from around the world. They'll have to master intuitive combat mechanics and release special attacks as they fight across cinematic storylines, competitive arenas, and time-limited events.
