Under The Island puts players in the role of Nia, a newcomer to Seashell Island. They get to join forces with local girl Avocado and investigate an ominous fate and that is the island seems to have been destined to sink beneath the ocean. Players get to explore colorful regions, battle strange creatures, and uncover the ancient mysteries that could threaten their new home.

Travel Across a Lush Island

Players get to go on an adventure across a lush island which has been brought to life with vibrant pixel art and timeless top-down exploration. They can delve into hidden corners, uncover secrets, and face dangerous foes across diverse, interconnected biomes. There's a total of six unique regions to explore. From eerie sentient greenhouses, to frozen caverns, and chaotic sawmills, each biome comes with its own dangers, upgrades, and treasures to uncover. There's a lot to do like becoming the champion of the cook-off, reuniting lost cats, and dodging the rage of the cereal pirates.

On their journey, players get to fight against bizarre creatures that include the likes of vomiting eggplants and tunnelling wolves. The good news is that they can use abilities, artifacts, and even loot, to turn the tide of battle. Players can also befriend animals who may help them on their adventure.

It's not all danger as the island also has some interesting and quirky inhabitants. Each one has their own personality, story, and even a role to play in the adventure. Players can forge friendships, lend a hand, and see how they can aid players in return.
