Upcoming Flavor Pack for Crusader Kings III Takes You to Persia

The new flavor pack of Crusader Kings III challenges everyone to try and navigate the world that is Medieval Iran. The focus is on the Abbasid Caliphate as it tries to maintain its hold on the empire's eastern core. The new flavor pack is titled "Legacy of Persia" and comes out on November 9.

This upcoming new content is inspired by none other than the historical Anarchy of Samarra. It makes use of what's known as the Struggle System which allows for a new setting, as well as new rulesets, for the Iranian Intermezzo. This is a conflict which tests personal, cultural, and even religious loyalties. Ultimately, this flavor pack lets players choose whether they want to end the Arab domination over Persia or guide the Caliphate through this crisis and strengthen the power of Baghdad.

Other key features of the Legacy of Persia flavor pack include introducing more historical flavor to the game. There are new decisions available along with new interactions and new buildings for rulers in the Persian region. There's also a special content which looks into the clan leadership and protecting the frontier regions. Players can also expect to see change to Iranian Cultures like new Iranian traditions which include innovative Court Scholars, unique Men-at-Arms, and the powerful new buildings that bring riches out of barren lands.

New as well are the art and music. While Persian characters get new clothing, the Persian buildings meanwhile get a redesign. The UI also has more of an Iranian appearance particularly for this Flavor Pack. Get to enjoy eight new music tracks, with some of them some cued to events and some to set the mood.
