An update for The First Descendant is planned to be released this September 4. There's a lot of new content for players to be excited about. One of these is the Lounge System.
The Lounge is a personal space where players can arrange Collectibles and Characters. It can be accessed from the Albion Dispatch Lobby and features a "Living Room," "Display Room," and "Bedroom." However, that's not all there is to it since players can also customize weather and lighting settings. They can also arrange Descendants, Skins, Fellows, Weapons, Attachments, Dioramas, and Figurines.
New Fellow
A new fellow is also set to be added with the upcoming update. The "Snowy Sled Dog" has the appearance of a husky and features "MP Heal" as its unique effect. It can be farmed in Axion and Fellow-exclusive Feed meanwhile can be obtained in Axion and the Void Vessel. Exclusive Skins and Spawns are planned to be released together.
QoL Improvements
There are also quality of life improvements to be introduced that include:
- Leaderboard Build View Feature: Players can check the settings of top players at the time of their ranking.
- Improved Inventory Filtering: Name search function and detailed filter combination features are going to be added.
- Party Finder System Improvement: A feature that automatically recommends Parties that match player settings in the Party Finder menu.
- Hover Bike Feature Improvements: When colliding with monsters, players push through them, and they can mount immediately while using dedicated weapon skills.
- Wall Crasher Contribution Calculation Improvement: When attempting multiple times in the same cycle, only the highest Contribution achieved in that cycle will be recoded.
- Daily Challenge Goal Balance Improvement: Unnecessary content suggestions are excluded based on Mastery Rank, and excessive goals are adjusted downward.
The First Descendant is a next-generation third-person co-op action RPG looter shooter which features high-quality graphics developed using Unreal Engine 5. In the game, players become a Descendant whose mission is to fight against alien invaders. Players encounter spectacular stories as they grow stronger through various missions and raids to finally discover the Descendants' secret.
In The First Descendant, cooperation is crucial as players team up with one another in strategic 4-player boss fights where teamwork and tactics are key. New equipment, materials, and items obtained through a myriad of missions and boss fights will contribute to players’ character development.
