Developer Soda Den announced that version 1.2 of Roots of Pacha is arriving to the PC version via Steam on July 31. It's also launching for versions on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch.
Version 1.2 increases the number of options for children and in particular introduces school-age as part of the development. What this means is that you can now enroll the young ones to School where they get to bond with others and develop their personalities. They even get to learn more about what professions they want to pursue when they grow bigger. The dialog and gifts that children can earn are based on their parentage, personality, and profession.
New Options Available
The new update also expands Romance options with the addition of new dialogue. There are also new Union reception options. You should be happy to know that during a Union ceremony, characters now have the ability to smooch their beloved partners. It's also possible to disable dating advances from other people through the "Available to date" setting.
Other New Content
Other new content made available through this new update are the new skins tones and new hair colors which can be used to customize the Pachans. There are also new mount options introduced that include mammoths, wolves, cave lions, and even spiders. That's not all since as your friendship with pets progresses, these same pets cannot fetch items from different areas while also being able to obtain items like meat or herbs.
New as well as the olla, which is a new watering Idea that can help save time. This is a good option particularly in the early and middle of the game.
QoL Improvements
As expected, the update also brings with it a bunch of quality-of-life improvements. For example, you can now make use of intermediate saves by going to bed and then selecting "Save at current time." It's now also possible to place multiple items in processors at once by simply holding the action button. Other improvements include taking UI-free screenshots and the new sorting methods.
