The full version of Necesse is now available on Steam. The game has players build, quest, and conquer across an infinite procedurally generated world. To celebrate the launch, this title is being offered a 50% discount for a limited period.
The release of version 1.0 comes after six years for being in early access. In a post, developer Fair Games ApS shared that it's been an incredible journey and that they're "eternally grateful" for all the love and support from the community.
Version 1.0
Even with the release of version 1.0, the studio assured players that they can continue to use their old characters. With the new world generation, it's important for players to migrate their old world into the new world generation. That means they'll have to insert their old islands/settlement into the new world generation. For those who want to see how it works, they can learn about it through the video here.
The studio reminded players that most mods won't work with the launch of version 1.0. This is because a lot of changes have been made to the Necesse codebase. The studio went on to say that they're looking forward to the modders toget the mods up and running again within a couple of weeks.

Necesse invites all players to an infinite procedurally generated world that's full of mysteries to uncover. They can grow their settlement and lead expeditions against pirate kings, dragons, and fallen wizards alike.
Whether playing alone or with a few friends, the world of Necesse and its threats adapt to provide a meaningful challenge. Everyone has the chance to explore freely or take on specific quests as they face off against unique monsters spread across a variety of biomes.
Necesse has players play how they want. They can customise difficulty and multiple gameplay rules to fit their preferences. For example, for those who don’t like raiders showing up at their settlement, they can turn them off. It's also possible to fine-tune gameplay rules like the length of the day/night cycle or the difficulty of boss battles.
Whether playing single player or with friends, and whether they're cranking up the difficulty or taking it easy, each session is an opportunity to weave an epic tale unlike any that came before it. Get Necesse on Steam now.
