A new update has been released for Vindictus. It introduces a lot of new content for all players to enjoy. One of these is the new raid battle titled “Where Earth Meets Sky.”
The story follows the hero's party as they continue their journey to find the four treasures of Erinn in the Forgotten Land. After finding the Essence of Undry, the party now heads for Findias. However, what awaits them is a desert of clear salt. There, they hear some interesting information from a grave robber named Uscias.
Following her guidance, they find Caliburn hidden amongst the ruins. Suddenly, the party is betrayed by Uscias, who wants the treasure for herself. They return to the town empty-handed and once they arrive, a mysterious letter arrives.
Uscias Facing the Heroes
For those wondering who Uscias is, she’s a magician who can wield powerful and ancient magic with ease. In fact, she is Caliburn's fili, who has been disguised as a human young woman. After reclaiming her long lost Caliburn, she’s now preparing a trial for the hero's party at the place where the Earth meets the Sky. Only those who can pass her trial can become the masters of the Flame That Never Goes Out.
Multi-Elemental Magic
As mentioned, Uscias is a powerful magician and the reason for this is that she wields multi-elemental magic with ease. She uses fire, ice, lightning, and even time magic. Each element comes with its own unique effects and threatening attack patterns. To be able to defeat Uscias, players need to learn the elements she uses.
Uscias Preparing Magic
One thing to remember is that Uscias creates a pentacle. After that a special magic is then cast shortly after. The moment players see this, they’ll need to immediately prepare for an attack especially since a delayed response could be fatal.
Uscias also dodges attacks or quickly moves backward. Be careful since magic immediately follows her movement. In the latter part of the battle, Uscias' trial becomes more challenging. Those who can’t counter her powerful magic are sure to be in grave danger.
By the way, those who complete this battle by March 31 are rewarded with an “Evil Core +1” bonus.
