Wake of the Water Update for Enshrouded is Here

The latest update for Enshrouded has finally arrived. Update 7 is all about the Wake of the Water and introduces some truly watery goodness.

The highlight is, of course, the addition of dynamically simulated water to the game which results in an entire new way to experience the world of Embervale. Basically, water is now available to everyone either as part of the exploration or serving as a new tool for base building. There's a lot of new lakes to explore which hide a mysterious world under the surface. There they can discover treasure or dig up new resources.

Embervale Update

All biomes of Embervale now have water added in the form of naturally occurring ponds and lakes. The early areas have only smaller bodies of water with later areas offering those vast and deep lakes. As mentioned, water isn't there for decorations and features a new layer of exploration and new challenges. Having limited oxygen, players need to weigh risks and rewards as they search for those exclusive resources and loot chests in the depths of the lakes.

Building with Water

As part of the crafting progression, several new tools and placeable props are introduced to the game. These result in players being able to add, remove, and transport water. There are some that can even be used deliberately on demand with others operating automatically over time. Here are some details:

• Water can be used to rotate water wheels and thereby power new crafting factories.

• Water gates are now available, allowing players to control the flow of water through their base.

• Some new farm crops can only grow when covered in water.

Enshrouded is a game that's all about survival, crafting, and action RPG combat, which is now available on Steam Early Access.
