The latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now live. Patch 1.10.0 introduces players to a new story campaign along with a new Operation. There's also the usual quality of life changes, balance adjustments, and bugfixes.
The Road to No Man’s Land
The latest update adds a new story campaign. Like the Battle For Tertium, players are tasked with going through three specific missions in a connected storyline. It's one where players can unlock new chapters as they go.
The first chapter begins with the Moebian 53rd fending off a heretical train hijacking through the Rolling Steel Operation. This is then followed by the second chapter which is the Excise Vault Spireside-13. Finally, the third and final chapter of this mini-campaign is the new Operation: No Man’s Land.
Players should be happy to know that the new story is a permanent addition to the game. This means that the missions are always playable at any time. In addition, for those who want to play the new mission and don't want to go through the short story, the development team is making sure that No Man's Land is always available in the mission board for a week after its release. After that, it's going to be added to the regular mission rotation pool.
New Operation
The new Operation is all about No Man’s Land and takes players to a city that's as ancient, war-torn, and enormous as Tertium. The entire districts can fall into disrepair and be lost to the ravages of time.
One such area is known as Consora’s Folly. It has been taken over by the Admonition. Players now have to accompany Knight Commander Dragor and his Leman Russ Battletank, Lionheart, into this ruined zone. The target is a long-lost fortress from a forgotten conflict, which is now a major base of operations for the insidious cult.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide offers a co-op focused experience from the same team responsible for the Vermintide series. The game has players try to take back the city of Tertium against the hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Players need to master the balance between ranged and melee combat as they fight their way across a slew of enemies. For the PC, get Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on Steam now.
