Warhammer: Vermintide II Celebrates 7th Anniversary

Fatshark announced that it is celebrating the 7th Anniversary of Warhammer: Vermintide II. That means this is a good time to party and go out drinking with the heroes across the ruined streets of Helmgart. This event is now live and runs until March 16. By the way, for the duration of the anniversary event, all XP gains are doubled.

To join in on the fun, head over to the Weekly Event game mode that's in the Adventure mission selection menu to enter the event mission which is "A Quiet Drink". Those who complete the event regardless of any difficulty can obtain a new anniversary portrait frame.

New Versus Map

The studio announced that it turned an Adventure into a playable Versus Map that's known as "A Grudge Served Cold". What happens is that both Heroes and Pactsworns get to fight it out in these snowy vistas and across the dwarven corridors. The studio also said that adjustments have been made to the Versus version of the map. This should allow it to fit Versus better and now has new objectives and changes to sections of the level. This Versus level takes 3 rounds to complete.

The development team shared in a post that it appears a portion of the player base has suffered what can be described as a serious loss of data and progression. In particular, this was on the accounts of the players and happened when Versus was launched. It took a while but the team said that they’ve managed to solve the issues. However, as an apology to the players for the inconvenience, they’ve added a new portrait frame to the game as compensation which is the “Abasement” frame.

Weapon Pack

It’s also worth noting that the team has been working on a new weapon pack and even teased a prototype a while back. That team said that the plan was to release it this year but it looks like the work is taking longer. That means it won’t be released this year. No other details have been revealed on this matter.
