AN Productions announced that a demo for Signy & Mino: Against All Gods is now available on Steam. This combo RPG has players team up with their pup to perform flashy combos together against various enemies. The game is set to come out in 2025 and to be accessible as well for consoles.
This isn't technically a new title. That's because it was previously revealed way back in May of this year. However, back then it was titled as "Designated Demigod." Why the change? Not much had been revealed except for a post on X where the studio said that the name change was a result of a Cease and Desist that they received in June 2024 from Stardock Entertainment.
Going back to the demo, the studio revealed that while the game offers a single-player adventure, they wanted to get it in the hands of players early to get feedback particularly on the combat feel. To make this happen, players can leave reviews on the game's demo and also reach out directly in the Discord community. The development team assured everyone that they'll be posting "more frequent updates" on Discord and possible host the occasional giveaway.
While work on the game is still in progress, there's going to be updates made on the demo that include:
- A redesigned power meter.
- An early look at the skill tree.
- Inclusion of the world map.
- Cleaning up some rough edges on the UI.
- Various improvements and bits of polish.
A New RPG Combo
The game allows players to create some over-the-top combos but in a calculated and turn-based fashion. The key here is positioning. They’ll need to line up their power attack and in return their target also damages other enemies along its path to the wall. Players can launch their targets to the skies or spike them hard enough to bury them. There are two ways to do this. The first is to call in the pup partner as back up and continue the combo. The second way is to sacrifice HP an push the limit.
