XSEED Games announced that a remaster of Ys: The Oath in Felghana is launching to consoles on January 7, 2025. Dubbed as Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, it's going to be avialable for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. It's been confirmed that this version features English and Japanese voice-over options, which should enhance the immersive experience for both longtime fans of the series and new players.
The game follows Adol and his blue-haired companion Dogi as they return to Dogi’s homeland of Felghana. It's been eight years since they've been away, and it seems that time has not been kind to the lands. Aside from a greedy overlord who's been extorting the suffering residents, there's also a newly active volcano and even monsters roaming the land. As Dogi looks for help from his former master, the task of helping the locals is now on the shoulders of Adol. However, he suddenly finds himself involved in a world of conspiracies and ancient legacies.
Key Features
The remastered version continues to feature the old-school action RPG combat that the series is known for. However, it adds difficulty options along with quality-of-life enhancements like the "Turbo" mode. Players can also look forward to the new "Refined" character illustrations across the game. However, those who prefer the original experience can always switch to the "Classic" versions. There's also the newly recorded voice acting for Adol Christin along with an opening narration which sets the stage for adventure while at the same time give new depth and gravitas to the famous hero.
The series has also been known for its outstanding soundtrack and this version features three different iterations of the epic score that players to choose from, all remastered in high-quality audio.

A limited Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana "Refined Edition" physical release is now available for pre-order at participating retailers as well as the Marvelous USA Online Store. This is only for the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch.
The limited launch edition comes with a copy of the game along with a soundtrack CD that features 14 songs, an acrylic diorama/keychain set, a set of four postcards featuring art from the game, and a graphic cleaner cloth. You can get all these for $59.99. The standalone base game meanwhile is available digitally and priced at $29.99.
Ys: The Oath in Felghana is still available for the PC via Steam.
