A new expansion is set to be released to Fallout 76 this December. The main feature is that it opens up Burning Springs, which is one of the largest map expansions in the game. The expansion also introduces an exciting feature which are Bounty Hunting missions.

Burning Springs expands the boundaries of the already massive Appalachia region and opens the path for players to explore into post-nuclear Ohio. Like with most locations in the game, there are a lot of threats both familiar and new. These include a vicious local breed of Deathclaw or the Super Mutant warlord known as the Rust King.

However, the desolated deserts of Burning Springs are not limited to dangerous creatures. That's because it has attracted what can be described as some "nasty" individuals. However, it also means a truly exciting opportunity especially for those who want to enjoy Bounty Hunting. Indeed, the Burning Springs update introduces Bounty Hunting missions with players being able to join up on a series of contracts hunting down the most wanted in Appalachia.

Upping the ante is none other than the mysterious and deadly gunslinger known as The Ghoul who makes his presence felt in Burning Springs. This is the same individual from the Fallout television series. Players get to cross paths with The Ghoul in Highway Town, a bustling community hub located in the heart of Burning Springs. Making things even more exciting is that The Ghoul is being voiced by Walton Goggins himself.

The thing about Bounty Hunting missions is that players can also take a few wanted grunts off The Ghoul’s hands. In that situation, they can keep the rewards for themselves. In some cases, The Ghoul may even reward their aptitude with new bounties to track.

In a post, Creative Director Jonathan Rush shared that Bounty Hunting is "a really fun system" and takes players all across Burning Springs. He added that in addition to learning about Burning Springs, everyone has the chance to meet The Ghoul.

The Bounty Hunting missions arrive in Fallout 76 through the Burning Springs Update which releases December 2. Learn more about it here.
