Developer Starry Studio revealed that they're making changes to how Chaosweavers spawn in Once Human. For those new to the game, Chaosweavers are considered as the most dangerous enemies in the scenario since they not only bring extreme weather but also cause immense destruction.
This move was brought about by feedback from players who said that Chaosweavers seem to be causing too much damage to their territories. According to the development team, the idea behind random Chaosweaver spawns was for players to have a more challenging survival experience as a core part of The Way of Winter. In addition, since Chaosweavers only spawn in specific areas, there is a high likelihood that players who build their territories in these areas are going to have it destroyed.
The development team shared that as a temporary solution, they've marked Chaosweaver spawn locations on The Way of Winter's map. This way, players can avoid building their territories near them. The coordinate marked on the map, which can be viewed here, represents all possible Chaosweaver spawn locations. It should be noted that Chaosweavers spawn at random marked locations and don't appear at all locations simultaneously.
Here are other adjustments made based on the feedback from the players:
- In late November, the probability of obtaining Deviations with a Deviant Energy Rating and Activity Rating is going to increase from 4 to 5 after defeating a Chaosweaver. Raw Chaosium rewards are going to be added.
- In December, a Chaosweaver location warning feature is to be added to the game.
- In December, a feature is going to be introduced which automatically returns items dropped due to Chaosweaver destruction to the player's Vault.
Once Human introduces players to an open-world and survival game where they get to explore an absorbing post-apocalyptic Earth overrun by an extraterrestrial entity known as Stardust. Combat is a core feature of the game as it offers exhilarating battles versus diverse enemies along with fights against powerful bosses from another realm. In addition to ensuring survival, the actions of the players in battle play a role in the welfare of other survivors.
