A new patch has been released for STALCRAFT: X and has made changes to the Evacuation System. This is mainly due to requests from the players. The change makes this mechanic closer, albeit with a few tweaks, to what it was back in "Dead Man's Marathon."
Helicopter Call
Let's start with the Helicopter Call. Once all tasks are finished, the team can now evacuate from Boral prematurely. However, it comes with certain conditions. Players have to reach an inactive Evacuation event and then wait for 90 seconds for a helicopter to arrive. After it lands, the helicopter is going to wait 30 seconds for the players. Once the helicopter takes off, the next one can be activated on the same point but only after 180 seconds.
By the way, two minutes before the match ends, all the inactivated Helicopter Call events are activated before the session ends. This is also the last time for the teams to leave Boral island.
Group departure
What this means is that the team no longer has to wait for the timer to expire before they evacuate by helicopter. Now if the helicopter is occupied by any three players, an early timer starts for five seconds. After this time, the team is successfully evacuated, provided no one in the group has left the helicopter. Even if the players come from different squads, the evacuation happens anyway.
What happens if the evacuation chopper contains more than three players? It's going into an overload state. This results in the evacuation timer beign postponed until there are three players left in the helicopter.
Other Changes
The update also introduces other changes that include:
- Partially fixed the problem with NPC Zombies spawning in front of players.
- Fixed the AFK status being applied after successful evacuation.
- Added weapon reload to Converts after respawning.
- Fixed situations where players got stuck while using the grappling hook.
- Added distortion effect for invisible Converts.
- Fixed the signals display on the PIONEER-3 wide range detector.
By the way, an event is now live in the game and you can learn more about it here.
