Square Enix released the new anime opening movie for STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R. It features the protagonists Claude and Rena, along with their allies, as they prepare for adventure and eventually fight against the otherworldly threat. This opening movie was produced by none other than Yostar Pictures.
Making the opening movie more exciting to watch is that you get to hear the song "stella." It's written by the Japanese duo of Sui on vocals and Ren keyboards, also known as SUIREN. This is also the main theme song of the game.

An Exciting Remake
For those who find the title rather familiar, the game is actually a 2.5D remake of the second installment in the STAR OCEAN franchise released in 1998. It offers beautiful 3D environments and combines it with those nostalgic 2D pixel characters. As such, it allows players to experience a classic RPG with modern gameplay. There's a lot to love in this new version like the new difficulty setting, rearranged soundtrack, and the different quality-of-life improvements implemented. All of these enhancements revitalize the beloved features of the original game. Players can also look forward to trying other features like Private Action which let them grow relationships with the members of their party and in turn unlock various endings.
An Ancient Prophecy
What is the game all about? It's set in Space Date 366 and sees a Federation officer being transported to a mystical planet. As he searches for a way home, he meets a young girl who asks him to save her people, as foretold in an ancient prophecy.
