Choose Your Side as New Arc Line is Now in Early Access on Steam

The day is finally here and with the ship finally docked at the port in the New World, it's time for the journey to begin in New Arc Line. The game is now in Early Access on Steam. As part of the launch, the game is being offered at 15% off until December 5.

State of the Game

While it is indeed exciting to know that the game is early access, developer Dreamate has issued a sort of reminder to all players. That reminder is that players may not be able to complete the hero story for now. The studio did assure everyone in a statement in they'll do their very best when it comes to listening to the "feedback, suggestions, and criticism" of the players.

What can players expect then? At the very least, they get to experience about a quarter of the main story along with third of the overall content planned for the game. The studio said that depending on the playstyle and the chosen difficulty, the early access version should take around 10-12 hours to complete. They get to create their very own character as either a Voodoo Shaman or Diesel Engineer. They can also choose to be either a Human or Elf. That's not all since players can also meet and join with three companion characters, each one bringing with them a unique storyline.

Early Access Plans

For now, the studio revealed that one of the main areas that they want to focus for now is on optimization as well as the technical state of the game. While they've managed to improve the game since the demo, there's still a lot of work to do. The studio asked players in particular to report if they experience any framerate drops or other performance issues.

There are also updates planned to be released during this phase of the development. These include introducing new quests, companions, classes, abilities, and gear. For now, no internal schedule has been set up, but the studio assured everyone that they'll share any information in the near future.
