Conan Exiles New Update Revamps the Purge System

New content is now available to the Age of War expansion of Conan Exiles with the Chapter 2 update. As their treasure hoard continues to grow, players need to protect it from the Stygian Empire through the revamped purge system. While new threats have also arrived, there are also global improvement when it comes to loot.

The New Purge

As a quick look back, purge is a feature where a group of NPCs attack the base of the players once they reach a specific threshold of activity. With this new update, purges are now an immersive and replayable challenge that offer worthwhile rewards.

The biggest changes are that purges can now be triggered manually by players. Once activated, a

Stygian Forward Operating Base spawns nearby and starts sending waves of enemies to assault the base of the players and steal their treasure. Another significant change is that the difficulty of the purge has been scaled to how much treasure is help by the players.

Improved Loot

The new update also introduces improvement to the loot. For example, the look of enemies now shows equipment, culture, and even environment. This means that overall, it’s more valuable and convenient. In addition, chests have been scattered in the depths of the dungeons and across camps containing more enticing loot.

Combat and Dungeons

Changes done to combat include now being able to adjust slightly the direction of attacks. The stagger consistency has also been improved. For the dungeons, a dash of new dangers, mysteries, and rewards, have been added for players to find. While these may seem like small improvements, they actually have a strong impact.

Battle Pass & Bazaar Cosmetics

For Chapter 2, new cosmetics have been added through the paid Battle Pass and Bazaar item store. The Battle Pass in particular have new pets, armor, and emotes, to name a few. The rewards even let players personalize their very own treasure room, much like a rich Turanian Prince. Meanwhile, the Bazaard also has a lot of new stuff.
