Indie game developer Burst2Flame has announced that its simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG, Stolen Realm, is set to release on PC, Xbox, and Switch in Q2 2023. The highly praised game will also be exiting its Early Access phase soon. As a part of this announcement, the studio also released the World Map Update, which removes the transition between the map and battles and adds three brand new areas to the game, along with various other improvements.
Stolen Realm boasts a highly customizable class system that offers over 300 possible skills to create unique champions of your own. The deep tactical systems of RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin has a unique twist with simultaneous turns. The game also features D&D-like special events that bring yet another layer to building a character that is truly your own. The friction-free drop-in/drop-out co-op system allows players to experience the game alone or with up to six players.
With the release of the World Map Update, players can now face all-new foes, delve into the forgotten ruins of the once-great Dwarven Halls, adventure into the untamed wilds of the Emerald Jungle, and uncover the mysteries of the Sunken Swamplands with no transition between the world map and battles. The game also has a full list of customizable items, each with modifiers that offer more opportunities to change how the game is played.
“We want to ensure players are always in combat, looting and making interesting choices, with the freedom to drop in with friends whenever they want thanks to automatic scaling," said developer Jason Jolley. "It’s been a real pleasure to see how well that concept has connected with our community during the Early Access phase, and we’re looking forward to more people being able to experience the game come release.”
Stolen Realm will be available on all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
