Developer Viabo Games announced that they've updated the demo for Sigilfarer. This is a result of the feedback obtained through the Steam Discussions and even Discord.

In a post, the studio revealed that they realized that there were some important things missing from the demo. As a result, they've been working hard to add those as quickly as possible. In fact, the studio shared that one of the most requested features was to be able to automatically save progress. The good news is that it's now live.

Other changes include:

  • Added a sharpening effect which should make the game look less blurry.
  • Fixed gobold spawn issues that included a bug which caused empty fights.
  • Improved and polished the quest log.
  • Increased the size of consumable item counters on the bottom left of the exploration screen.
  • In combat, the lower number now shows the maximum healable value instead of max HP. making it easier to see who can still be healed.
  • Fixed an issue where the formation setup would reset and should now stay as players set it.
  • Added a camera reset option.
  • Visual improvements to trees with birchbark now less bright.
  • Fixed various typos.
  • Added a few extra hints to help players out.
  • The first-time demo popup no longer says saving isn’t available.

Sigilfarer is a roguelite adventure where the decision of the players rest on the roll of their dice. It's set in a world that's been forever changed by a magical cataclysm. Players lead a group of wanderers through dangerous and uncharted landscapes.

At the core of Sigilfarer is its unique dice-building system. It reimagines deck-building mechanics into something fresh and dynamic. The party of the players is their dice set. Each weapon, shield, and armor piece they equip transforms their dice, defines the attacks, buffs, and abilities at their disposal. Players roll their dice in tactical turn-based combat and use them to overcome skill checks and to renew resources while resting. Each dice throw has the chance to turn the tide.

While the features of the game are indeed exciting, the studio reminds players that it does not offer 4x strategy and city building. In addition, players should not expect relaxing gameplay.
