If you're one of those who always wanted to try out the classic simulation RPG Little Hearts, then we have good news. A new update has been released for the game which introduces English localization support. What that means is that the dialogue text and information in the window have all been translated and can now be read in English.
To make sure that the English version is the one that's downloaded, you'll need to set the language setting in Steam to English. Otherwise, as a default, the Japanese version is the version downloaded. Both versions though can be downloaded from any country by setting the language in the client properties in Steam.
The development team though did say that the English localization won't be perfect. For starters, it seems that they used the AI translation by DeepL. That means some phrases may not be appropriate for the characters and some of the grammar could be unnatural. It's also possible that the line breaks to fir the width of the game window and thus may be difficult to read.
The team though did say that they're setting a thread in the community as a feedback mechanism on the English version. In addition, if there are still parts in Japanese, it's going to be fixed in an update.
Little Hearts is a simulation RPG with 2D dot graphics which features a simple and easy-to-understand system. The game is set in a fantasy world of swords and sorcery. While it’s been design in the image of the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance era, it comes with a modern, easy-to-play, and friendly system. The game can be enjoyed not only by experience players but also those new to simulation RPG.
The game offers two difficulty levels which are “Normal” and “Hard.” It’s possible to choose the level even while the game is ongoing. You can enjoy the animation of the characters especially in combat which can be best described as exhilarating with its crisp dot-drawings and attacks. The game also has an interesting function which lets you double the speed by pressing a button. This lets you enjoy the animations but without the need to sacrifice the tempo of the game.
