Indie video game publisher Playdigious announced that Mari Quinto (Lumi and the Great Big Galaxy) and David Thor Fjalarson (Dead Cells) are joining the musical turn-based RPG Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson. With this, players can look forward to new artworks by the two. In celebration, the game demo is once again available on Steam, for a limited period.
What can players expect? The new key art from David Thor Fjarlason is sure to immerse players in the music-inspired environments of the game. This is a world where instruments mingle with nature to result in new landscapes and architectures. It's truly the perfect arena when it comes to turned-based music battles.

- Rob, the friendly musician fighting to restore harmony, inspired by Rob Scallon.
- Rick Riffson, Super Metal Records’ boss, trying to own every piece of music with his soul-binding contracts.
- The fan-favorite percushrooms, who's not afraid to hand out a strong beating,
- Dr Strum, a disgruntled scientist helping Rob in his quest.
- SMR Larry, the first boss to discover in the game demo, playing sick riffs with his demonic keytar.
The game is a pixel-art journey that's set in the vibrant and diverse musical rock world inspired by musician and content creator Rob Scallon. This RPG adventure features turn-based combat. In the game, players go on a quest to restore harmony in an off-tuned and corrupted world which is currently endangered by the tyrannical the boss of Super Metal Records Rick Riffson.
The game invites players to explore a whimsical yet dangerous musical world. It's a place where every flower jingles, rocks really do rock, and even beach waves carry their own melody. Players get to use a deck-building system to fight enemies in rhythmic, turn-base battles. The game allows endless arrangements to play with where it's a high-damage build, devastating musical effects, life-stealing combos, or even random chaos.
