Square Enix announced that the Evercold expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online is officially releasing on February 23, 2027. It continues the story of the Warrior of Light and at the same time sets in motion the start of the Godless Realms Saga story arc.
As previously reported, the expansion was initially announced to come out in January 2027. There's no word from the studio on the change in release date.
Collector's Bundle
Still, players should be happy to know that pre-orders for the Evercold expansion begins November 4, along with the Collector's Box. In a statement, the studio reminded everyone that there's going to be a limited number available for The Collector’s Bundle and this can be pre-ordered exclusively from the Square Enix Store. It comes with physical goods that include the Evercold Special Art Box which features an Evercold illustration by artist Yoshitaka Amano. It also has an Expertly Crafted Reaper Figure along with the Ethos Metal Keychain, Köttr Mini Plush, and the Tapestry of the Fourth.
Digital Collector's Edition
While the Collector's Box doesn't have a physical copy of Evercold, it does come with a code for the Digital Collector's Edition. Aside from the upcoming expansion, this edition also includes three in-game items which are the Valhallar Odin Mount, Entreat Crystal Emote, and Crystal Skyltborg: Bastion Weapon
Pre-order Bonus
Those who pre-order Evercold can get bonuses which include Early Access to the expansion that starts on February 19. Players can also get their hands on two in-game items which are the Halone’s Earring and Wind-Up Köttr Minion.
