Experience Sexy Duels in Card Nova Hyper

Perennial Hearts announced that it is currently working on a new title which is Card Nova Hyper. The game is a deckbuilder card battler that features a story and a roguelike mode. It challenges players to see if they have what it takes to defeat the almighty Queen.

The game follows a rather straightforward mechanic where players need to fight, get new cards, tweak the deck, and then fight again. Of course, they'll have to come up with tactics especially if they want to beat opponents. Once they do they can get money and with it buy and upgrade cards. These cards can then be used to strengthen the deck. The stronger the enemies defeated, the more gold obtained.

One interesting feature of the game is the Nova Hyper ability. It's something that players can activate especially when things are taking a turn for the worse. This power-up mode gives them different bonuses in battle. Don't be too complacent though since enemies can also use this same ability. By the way, did we mention that when the characters power up, there’s a chance that their clothes explode?

While there’s still no release date yet, those interested can now wishlist the game on Steam. The minimum system requirements are:

A Sequel

Card Nova Hyper actually serves as a sequel to Perfect Hand of Nostalpix. The latter was released in August 2024 and is a remaster of the 1989 digital card game classic. The game invites players to defeat enemies with a deck they've tweaked to perfection by collecting, upgrading, and evolving each card. It's pretty much a blast from the past but enhanced with new mechanics.

Card Nova Hyper is developed by Perennial Hearts, a Japanese indie game company that specializes in Japanese RPGs, card games, and Idle games for PC. The studio hopes to come out with games which can be played whenever, wherever, and eternally. There are currently plans of developing games for consoles in the future.
