Telltale announced that its latest title The Expanse: A Telltale Series is now available on Steam. The game invites everyone to experience the exciting universe of The Expanse like never before.

The game is based on the science fiction TV series The Expanse, first released in December 2015. Set in a future where humanity has managed to colonize the Solar System, the story follows a band of protagonists who suddenly find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens the already fragile peace of the system.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series meanwhile is set before the events of the TV series. Players take on the role of Camina Drummer, the XO of a scavenger crew that's on the hunt for a mysterious treasure that's said to be on the edges of The Belt. Players need to deal with different powerful personalities as they try to hold off a mutiny. They'll also have to explore locations that's beyond The Belt and, ultimately, make tough decisions that decide the fate of the Artemis crew. By the way, did we mentioned that Drummer is being played by Cara Gee, who plays the same role on the TV series.

Exploring The Belt

As players explore The Belt, they get to Scour shipwrecks, use mag boots to walk on walls and ceilings, and even utilize zero-g thrusters to float through the void. Players also get to fly across sections of ships and the open expanse of space. Other actions include interacting with objects in the world and conversing with members of the crew. There's no doubt that this may well be the largest and, like the most immersive, exploration of any Telltale game ever released.

Choices & Consequence

Aside from trying to survive the unforgiving brutality of space, players also need to contend with other issues at play. These include the politics of a corrupt solar system and the animosities of the crew. Drummer also has to face her own conflicting responsibilities between the Belt she has sworn to protect and the people she cares about. While there is no right or wrong route, players have to face the consequences of the choices they make.
