The latest update for Final Fantasy XIV Online is here. Patch 7.15 introduces a lot of additions and refinements to the game. These include the Chaotic alliance raid Cloud of Darkness.
It's worth reminding players that they can only register to enter Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) through the Raid Finder. As a requirement, they'll need to be at least a Level 100 Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic. To begin the raid, players have to complete the "Dawntrail" quest and then talk to the Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal.
The role requirements for this duty are two (2) tanks, two (2) healers, and four (4) DPS. Preformed parties that register through the Raid Finder need to fulfill these role requirements. Meanwhile, preformed alliances, which have 12 to 24 players, can challenge this duty without role restrictions or being matched with other players. The good news is that challenging this duty with fewer players won't result in decreased rewards.
To exchange the obtained items for rewards, all players need to do is speak with Uah'shepya in Solution Nine.
By the way, when completing Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) during designated times, the number and drop rate of rewards from treasure coffers may be increased. An icon in the Raid Finder indicates when the limited-time bonus is activated. When completing Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) with one or more players who have yet to complete the duty, certain rewards are added in proportion to the number of first-time players.
As a final word, Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) is accessible starting December 24.
