The Fires in the Capital DLC is now available inWartales. In addition to a new region, players can look forward to experiencing a new battle type that comes with a special victory condition.
This Fires in the Capital DLC is set in Isandrin, the eternal capital of the Edoran Empire and considered as the proud heart of the Legion. It has long stood as a symbol of order and dominion having its banners fly over a city built on discipline, faith, and conquest. However, this bastion now trembles from within.
It all started with the appointment of General Maxime, originally meant to serve as a puppet of the Legion. Inspired by the Ancients, this young scholar instead starts to reshape the capital by implementing bold reforms and even establishing a Parliament. This change, while good, breeds enemies from the shadowed streets and all the way to the noble halls. Players take on the role of someone who has been tasked with restoring order and bringing lasting peace to Isandrin. To do that they'll need to uncover what is causing all the turmoil before the city tears itself apart.
Making things a bit difficult is that steel alone won't be effective in restoring order. There are new battle scenarios available where the objectives are just as important as survival. For example, players may need to capture fleeing criminals before they escape and fuel the unrest. Then there's also escorting vulnerable convoys. Players may even need to fight their way across the burning streets not just to defeat rioters but also rescue trapped civilians before they're consumed by the flames.
In Isandrin, victory is not only about who stands at the end, but what remains of the city when the fighting stops.

New content introduced to the game as part of this new DLC include:

- New enemy "Rioter" groups based on the Deserters faction.
- 3 unique battle types triggered by the chaos meter with their own unique mechanics.
- 4 optional battle objectives which influence chaos.

- 4 legendary weapons.
- 2 legendary helmets.
- 10 new accessories including belt accessories, backpack accessories, animal accessories and left hands.
- 2 new unique companions with their unique unlockable traits.
- New oil, crafting components, trinkets.
- 8 new achievements.
