Free Lanes Update Adds New Legendary Effect in Starfield

The new Free Lanes update for Starfield adds Tier 4 Legendary Effects. This new legendary rank is applicable to weapons, Helmets, Packs, and Suits.

How it works is that once players have a rank three legendary item, they can apply a new rank four effect for credits and X-Tech. The good news is that they don't have to roll for these and simply pick the modifier they want. In addition, some weapons and gear become "Exotic" when they reach max upgrades.

Some of the new Tier 4 legendary effects include:

• Saboteur: Damaging robots have a chance to instantly kill them with the robots exploding on death.

• Reckless: Ranged only. Magazine size is reduced to 1; damage is increased by 500%; health is reduced by 50%.

• Enigmatic: Suit only. Holograms of players appear while in combat and can confuse enemies.

Outposts

The update allows players to install an outpost container at each of their outposts. It allows them to quickly and easily share items and resources between outposts. Whatever they drop in one is accessible at any other outpost with a shared container.

Starborn Abilities

Another improvement is on Starborn Abilities. The update can let players rank up their unlocked Starborn abilities using Quantum Essence and without the need to start New Game+ and even . Players can become a Starborn superhero and max out their favorite abilities. They can then have Favorite Quantum Essence from the Powers Menu to be able to quickly refill the power meter and string together devastating combos.
