Developer Spitfire Interactive and publisher Daedalic Entertainment are proud to announce they are teaming up to launch the superhero epic, Capes. The title’s development will continue to be helmed by the Australian studio, but now with Daedalic publishing the game, the team is thrilled to bring their turn-based strategy game of superheroes battling to reclaim their city from the forces of evil to multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S.

In Capes, players assemble a team of unique heroes and engage in turn-based battles to take back their city, which is now controlled by evil despots. Twenty years ago, the supervillains won and created a dystopian city where developing superpowers is a crime, but the heroes are ready to stand up and fight for what is right. The game features dark and gritty campaigns and patrol assignments, and players can push the story forward or take time to explore side missions that unlock more heroes.

Players will be able to choose from a roster of heroic protectors with unique skills and powers, and level up their heroes by completing challenging missions and side-quests to earn skill points that unlock new abilities and upgrades. The combat system is not based on random numbers, so players must choose wisely to assemble the right team for the right mission. With ultimate abilities and powerful upgrades, players will have the tools they need to face down evil villains and criminal corporate henchmen and free their city from the clutches of villainy.

Capes promises to be an epic and thrilling experience for fans of superhero games and turn-based strategy games alike. With a strong focus on storytelling and character development, players will become fully immersed in the dark and gritty world of Capes as they fight to reclaim their city and become the heroes the world needs. A brand-new demo of Capes is available during Steam Next Fest, starting today and running until February 13th. Get ready to suit up and save the day!
