Get Ready to Explore the Galaxy When Breachway Launches this August

Edgeflow Studio announced that its upcoming title Breachway is coming out this August 30. The sci-fi roguelike deckbuilding game is going to enter early access for the PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.

In the game, you get to assemble your very own crew and then load out your ship. As you navigate your way across the galaxy, you'll engage in intense and exciting turn-based battles. To increase the chances of success, you'll have to get more powerful tools while making good relationships with the different factions.

Choosing the Ship

There are four ship types available for you to choose from. Each comes with their own layouts, synergies, bonuses, and even initial faction standings. The key is to find unique synergies between the different options since each choice brings with it an associated set of cards for the deck along with additional cards and upgrades unlocked at your discretion after each engagement.

Forming the Crew

Of course, you'll also need to have a crew who's going to operate the equipment. Be sure to take advantage of their unique skills and the benefits they give. It's also important to consider the relationship that each crew has with the different factions. However, be careful as well since crew members have their own personalities and allegiances.

Going to Battle

In Breachway, you get to engage in turn-based card battles where the victory is determined by resource management, strategic foresight, and adaptive thinking. For example, your sensors could pick up enemy activity and tell you when they're expected to strike. You then have to target equipment that you think could offer the greatest threat to you. However, it's not going to be that simple especially since there's also the option to maybe form defensive countermeasures to initially withstand what the enemy can deal.

In addition, the right order of operations can be the difference between a strong alpha strike which can destroy a weaker enemy ship or an impenetrable defensive stack which gives you more time to chip away at a tough enemy.
