Developer Siege Camp announced that the next major update for Foxhole is bringing the fight to the air. Get ready for the next chapter that is Airborne. It's scheduled to be released in summer 2025.
In Airborne, players get to be behind the cockpit of a wide range of aircraft from nimble fighters and all the way to those powerful bombers. Aside from the power of these aircraft, players can also paradrop a squad behind enemy lines and cripple supply chains while also sabotaging equipment. Ground crews also play an important role since they're the ones rearming and prepping aircraft for the next mission. Players can also look forward to logistics forces which have been upgraded with production and deployment.
Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where thousands of players get to shape the outcome of a persistent online war that lasts for weeks. This sandbox war game has the players as the This sandbox that comes with hundreds of hand-crafted towns, villages, and other areas of interest.
Each individual soldier is a player that helps to the war effort through logistics, base building, reconnaissance, and combat, to name a few.
Comprehensive logistics is also very important. That’s because each bullet, weapon, vehicle, and drop of fuel, is produced and supplied by real players. To win battles, players can cut off supply lines or sabotage those infrastructure.
To increase the chances of survival, players can fortify the front line with trench lines and bunker networks. They can also build underground bases with ammunition storage, engine rooms, intelligence centers, and artillery emplacements. Once everything is ready, players can then release those devastating artillery bombardments which can permanently level towns and transform landscapes into a desolate no man's land.
In the game, there are dozens of tank classes and variants supporting the tank crews with gunner, commander, and engineer roles. Tanks can be tracked, have their fuel tanks ruptured, or be disabled and feature an armor system with penetration and deflection mechanics. Players can also design and build large-scale railway systems to allow for supplies, vehicles, and other equipment to be hauled over long distances across the persistent world.
What do you think? Ready to be part of the battle? Foxhole is available for the PC via Steam.
