Granblue Fantasy: Relink Has Sold 1 Million Copies

Cygames has a reason to be happy lately as it adds another feather in its cap. Early this week the studio revealed that Granblue Fantasy: Relink has managed to sell 1 million copies. This milestone was reached just within 11 days since the game was released. In a post, the studio thanked the entire community for this latest achievement. The studio went on to say that more updates are coming soon.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set in Sky Realm, a world where countless islands float in a great blue expanse. Players take on the role of a captain of a skyfaring crew on a quest to look for Estalucia, a fabled island that's beyond the end of the skies. They'll be joined Vyrn, a scrappy little dragon, and Lyria, a young girl with mysterious powers. It's not going to be easy especially since the islands in the Zegagrande Skydom are being guarded by powerful creatures which are known primal beasts. Then there are also stories of a secretive organization operating called as the Church of Avia.

Gameplay

In terms of gameplay, players get to form a party of four characters from a diverse roster with each own bringing with them their own unique skills, weapons, and even combat styles. They get to engage in real-time combat where teamwork is essential and experience party-based mechanics that include Link Attacks and Chain Bursts. Players have the option to take on quests solo or through co-op.

Special Edition

Players who want to get more back for their buck can the special edition which comes with the False Sword of the Apocalypse weapon. This sword is fully upgraded and thus makes it useful particularly in the game’s early stages. The only catch is that this is equippable by the captain.

This special edition also contains 30 Glittercrystal, which when sold lets players earn 300,000 rupies. Other items include 500 MSP, that can be used to upgrade characters, and 50 Fortitude Crystal (S), used to strengthen weapons.

Finally, it also has Color Packs 2 & 3 which allow players to unlock colors 7 and 8 for all the playable characters.
