If you're looking for a new action role-playing game, then head on over to Steam and get Hammerwatch II. It's a sequel to the indie hit Hammerwatch and has players fight against the forces of evil across various environments while crafting both weapons and potions. The game is currently being offered at a 10% discount until next week.
Accompanying the launch was a trailer which showcases the kingdom that players have to explore and the battles that are waiting for them. You can watch the trailer below:
Save the Kingdom
Hammerwatch II is set in the Kingdom of Herian where King Roland has been overthrown by Blight the Horrible and his dragon army. Hope remains in the sewer system where the resistance movement continues to hold strong. On orders from the King, a select few have been chosen and tasked with defeating the dragons and bringing back peace to the kingdom.
The game gives players the choice to take on the adventure solo or help the resistance with a party. Players can choose from five unique character classes which are Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, and Warlock. The appearance of each one can be customized and new abilities and skills are unlocked when they're levelled up.
As players journey across the land, they get to meet different characters and complete quests. This allows them to become the hero that Herian has long been looking for. Players also get to experience the day/night system and even the weather system.
Special Edition
Those who want to experience more can get the Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition, available digitally for $39.99. In addition to the base game, it also has the Hammerwatch Anniversary Edition which includes a remastered version of the original Hammerwatch. This version not only has updated graphics but also new features and new content to enjoy.
That's not all since it also comes with The Anniversary Pack which contains 20 Additional Colors for players to Choose from, two Additional Voice Packs, and five Additional Hero Facial Items.
System Requirements
For those interested to play the game, there's more good news. There's not much when it comes to the system requirements for the PC. To run the game, all that's needed is at least an Intel Core Duo and 2 GB RAM. The game meanwhile needs about 500 MB of space.
What are you waiting for? Head on over to Steam and check out the game.
