In case you didn’t know, a game titled as Sentou Gakuen: Revival is coming soon to Steam. The game offers traditional Visual Novel experience and then combines it with MMORPG elements. It’s set to be released in Early Access on January 27.

While that’s still a few weeks away, Developer gakuen.org has actually revealed what’s being planned once the game comes out.

One of the features being looked into are the Faction Wars. Players can choose to join one of two major factions. However, those who want to avoid conflict can choose to remain neutral and just watch the fights on the sidelines.

Being in a Group

The game features solo play but it doesn’t mean you’re all alone when it comes to enjoying it. Another feature being planned are Community Events. This is where players get to work with other students and try to improve the state of a zone. In return, they can get their hands on cool rewards.

Clubs and Guilds are also going to be introduced. This one has players join a club or better yet maybe create their own. These include academic groups and all the way to combat clans, which means that there’s always a place for students with a common purpose.

Speaking of teaming up, Co-op Challenges is also in development. In this one, players can form a team with friends and try on co-op missions like looking into the depth of Yamaki Forest and Suoh Lake.

Steam Workshop Integration

Finally, there’s the Steam Workshop Integration which is scheduled to be released a bit later. With this, players can come up with their very own visual novels within the game through a simple scripting language.

Players can access in-game resources that include backgrounds, character sprites, and music. They can even upload their own assets. Once created, stories can be shared with other players.

A New Experience

The gameplay that Sentou Gakuen: Revival offers is rather interesting. While the game is indeed presented in a Visual Novel style, the characters that you get to interact with aren't just NPCs. Instead, they're also players that have their own unique stories. Once you're done with the first day, you get the ability to forge your very own path and not follow any predefined storylines.

Sentou Gakuen: Revival is launching in Early Access on January 27. A demo is currently available on Steam.
