Here’s What’s Happening in Star Wars: The Old Republic this January

A new month is here and that means new in-game events available in Star Wars: The Old Republic for everyone to take on. While there are a lot of events in most months, for January 2024 there's only two. However, that's not really a bad thing. Today we'll look into what these events have to offer.

Relics of the Gree

Let's start off with Relics of the Gree, which starts January 9 and run until January 16. In this one, you're asked to explore a contested area in Ilum. Just head on over to the Western Ice Shelf and learn more about the Gray Secant and its mysterious purpose. As you explore this enormous ancient Gree starship, you’ll soon realize that there's a strong opponent waiting for your at the center. Be sure to make the right preparations.

To be part of this event you'll need to be at least Level 50. To start the adventure, those in the Republic need to visit the in-game News Terminal that's located on Carrick Station while the Imperial fleet need to go to the Vaiken Spacedock.

Those who finish this event can obtain rewards that include:

Reputation with the Gree Enclave
Gree Digitization Cube
White, Red, and Blue Scalene Armor
Gray Helix Weapons
L1-L Defender, L1-L Scout, and Miniature Gray Secant Mini-pets
Cyan Sphere, Blue Sphere and Red Sphere Vehicles

Pirate Incursion

The second in-game event is Pirate Incursion which starts January 23 and end January 30. Unlike the first event, you just need to be at least level 20 to participate.

This event focuses on the remote planet of Dantooine which has been put in the center of escalating hostilities between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Goaded in secret by covert Imperial forces, it seems that the Nova Blade pirates have launched an all-out attack on this pastoral Republic world. As a result, the Republic is doing what it can to defend this key territory that's located at the edge of Imperial space. Meanwhile, the Empire is planning to capitalize on the chaos and deal a major blow to this longtime Republic bastion.

For this event, rewards to be obtained include:
