HPL: Nyarlathotep Rising Coming to Steam this February

A pure Lovecraftian adventure is coming your way with HPL: Nyarlathotep Rising. The game is releasing on February 19 via Steam.

The game is set in a world that's been shaken by the Wall Street crash of 1929. However, there is a cosmic threat hanging over everyone. Players take on the role of one of three characters as they guide them both physically and psychologically. There's the troubled veteran of the Great War Mark, a brilliant young artist Anna, and gifted student of the arcane lore Victor. Each one has different psychic predispositions about the world around them and the decisions of the players drive both the fate of their current character destiny and that of the two other characters who evolve alongside in the story being written.

The game has players uncover the truth as they travel the world along with other planes of reality. The different encounters are sure to shake the confidence of players and the others. Players need to know who their allies and enemies are and possibly find love in the midst of all this madness. As they go through the adventure, players have to collect information and clues, artefacts, weapons and spells to help them face the cultists and other monsters that are never far away.

Write the Story

The interactions of players with the other characters, their discoveries, their questions, and their use of objects, all influence the rest of the scenario and can lead to multiple possible endings. Indeed, the decisions made can have an impact on the soul they've taken control of and its characteristics. The development of these characteristics determines the options available to players in the future.

Multiple Endings

As players gain knowledge, so does madness. If anything, the game is faithful to Lovecraft's universe as players write unique stories for Mark, Anna or Victor. Each character controlled by the player evolves according to the choices they made and this offers multiple alternate endings.
