Join Kirito in a New Original Story with SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream

The latest addition to the Sword Art Online universe is finally here. SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream is now out for the PC via Steam. It’s also available on consoles that include the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.

The game is the first-ever large-scale and live-service multiple adventure set in the iconic series. It offers players the chance to go on the adventure solo or play online with a maximum of 20 players.

The game follows story of a new system being added to the world of ALfheim Online. However, a malfunction has resulted in all the worlds and all the timelines colliding. This has created a unique setting, along with a challenging environment, for Kirito and his friends.

The gang has become lost in uncharted territory and their enemies have now become allies. Indeed, unlikely alliances need to be formed especially if they want to survive the dangers that’s present in this unsettled world. What makes the game different from others that’s set in the same universe is that this one features an original story. It also has fan-favorite characters that include the likes of Klein, Silica, and Yui. The game focuses on large-scale co-op experience with cross-play and players take part in action-packed gameplay which has exciting boss raids and co-op quests.

Different Game Modes

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream offers different modes. In single-player mode players get to relive the story and they fight against enemies from the past. They also go on adventures to learn more about what’s behind the anomalies and discover what caused the outburst in Galaxia.

Online-only mode meanwhile has players for a team of up to 20 other players to participate in different activities like Co-Op Quest where they need to clear missions which is followed by challenging a boss at the end of it. Then there’s Boss Raid where players need to go all out and fight against a giant boss enemy that needs cooperation and strategy to get the win. Finally, Free Roam has players freely explore and meet other online players to enjoy a co-op experience.
