War has broken out in the red planet, and you've been asked to lead one of the forces in conflict. You get the chance to see if you have what it takes to win through the free demo of Mars Tactics is now available on Steam. Don't take too long to decide since the free demo is only available during the Steam Next Fest which ends October 16.
The game features turn-based tactical gameplay that's mixed in with large-scale strategic operations and all the action happening on a detailed map of Mars. You get to choose which side to support between the shareholder-controlled Capital army and the resource-starved Labor revolutionaries. Make the soldiers grown and learn from their experiences both in and out of battle. Helping you get the win are the engineers and scientists.
Three Missions
For the free demo, three missions are available for everyone to try and they show the different types of tactical engagements in the game. The first is Jail Break where players need to rescue the Labor soldiers that have been captured. That way they can continue to fight for the rights of workers on Mars. What this mission does is to show unarmed combat mechanics. After all, prisoners need to knock out the jailers and steal their weapons before escaping.
The next missions is Jet Set. When it comes to the war for Mars, there's no question that air power plays an important role. From air strikes to trade and logistics, you'll need to get your hands on every jet there is especially if you want to continue dominating the strategy map. Anyway, for this mission you'll have to brake into a spaceport controlled by the Capital and steal another jet.
Finally, there is Outpost Assault. In Mars, there are a lot of installations and outputs. Which means those who control them has the chance to rule the planet. For the third mission, players need to find a way and capture one of these outposts.
