Kickstarter Campaign Launched for Eastwynne

WTS₂ announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for Eastwynne. This is to fund the game while at the same time provide community members with additional rewards or in-game content.

WTS₂ is actually a solo developer who is also a 3D animator and musician.WTS₂ was also responsible for The Consequence of Gods, a fantasy saga that spans multiple series. In a statement, WTS₂ revealed that work for Eastwynne started way back in 2018. It was planned to be a spin-off of another project titled as Leech. However, as the story started to develop even further, the developer made the realization that Eastwynne would be better off as the “first entry of the saga.” Eastwynne actually has a few episodes of an audio drama and animated series.

Kickstarter Campaign

Talking about the Kickstarter campaign, WTS₂ shared that being a solo developer means taking on the majority of the work. While the developer admitted that there is assistance by a team, working on the game continues to take a rather "extraordinary amount of time and resources." The developer is currently focusing on better time management while at the same time adjust the game further.

For the Kickstarter campaign, the goal is $9,000. As of this writing, $1,020 has been pledged by 37 backers. In addition, three tiers are already closed. These are the Early Access Key, Alpha/Beta Testing Early Bird, and The Everything Merch Bundle - Early.

There are now nine tiers available for backers to support with the highest one being a pledge for $1,500. It's titled as "Your Own NPC" and has only three slots. It lets backers to design an NPC which is then added to the game. There's also the option to include a storyline. Being the highest tier, it has everything in the tiers below it.
