At first, Liang thinks that the girls he's escorting are going to be sold to a wealthy lord and adopted and his daughters to start a new life. However, one of the girls named "Sui" reveals the truth to Liang. It turns out that the so-called wealthy lord is actually a swine demon who has been devouring young ladies for more than a thousand years. Sui goes on to say that each year on his birthday, the lord has human traffickers abduct girls from Shaanxi. One of those girls was Sui's sister.
Sui hopes to convince Liang to end the escort and instead join her in assassinating the swine demon. This is to avenge not only her sister but also all those who have perished in recent years.
