Maid Café at Electric Street is releasing for the PC through Steam on 2024. This leisurely maid café adventure is set in Nipponbashi, Osaka, conjsidered to be an otaku haven. The game is being developed by Adventurer's Tavern and published by PLAYISM.
Players take on the role of the protagonist who quit his job at a workplace that was seen as extremely toxic. He finds himself at a rather run-down maid café that's been tucked away in a quiet part of Nipponbashi. There he meets a maid named Shiro where one thing leads to another and eventually is appointed as the temporary café manager.
Be the Manager
As the manager of the café, it is up to the players to assign work to the maids. It's important to remember that the right girl should get the right job. Shiro for example is excellent when it comes to serving customers. Miyu on the other hand is good in the kitchen.
Of course, it's not all about the maid. While the café remains open, players not only have to make coffee but also do what they can to help on the floor.
See the Sights of Nipponbashi
To make sure that the players have a great experience, the developers made sure to recreate the real Nipponbashi's atmosphere. The game actually features some of the real stores that can be found in the area. These include the likes of Dragon Star, Karaoke Rainbow, Sofmap, Super Potato, and Surugaya, to name a few. It's important to visit them when doing some shopping or when going on a date with one of the maids.
Collectable Gachapon
For those who have been to the actual Nipponbashi, one notable feature of the area is that there are a lot of gachapon machines all around. The same is true in the game. Players can try to collect their favorite gachapon series and experience that unique gacha excitement of not knowing what they'll be getting. As more gachapon are collected, it reaches a point when it's possible to bring them up when having conversation with the maids.
