In a thrilling announcement at Gamescom, Massive Damage, the Toronto-based indie studio behind hit strategy RPG games like Star Renegades and Halcyon 6, revealed their first leap into 3D gaming with their new title, Fera: The Sundered Tribes. The game, which was highlighted as part of yesterday’s IGN Gamescom ONL Post-show Showcase, is a 3D Action-RPG that mixes elements of hunting and harvesting immense beasts, agile aerial combat, cooperative gameplay, village building, and tribe leadership, creating an exciting post-apocalyptic fantasy. Fera: The Sundered Tribes is set to hit PC and leading consoles sometime in 2024. Players can add the game to their wishlists now on Steam.
Fera: The Sundered Tribes follows the story of the only hunter ever to have taken down one of the invasive behemoths terrorizing the land. This player is chosen as the tribe’s leader to defend and guide them on a series of quests to reclaim and rebuild the shattered world. "It's been a wild journey, making this game during the pandemic, doubling our studio size while simultaneously pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone in making the leap to 3D," said Ken Seto, Co-CEO of Massive Damage. "The themes of change, rebirth, and belonging run rich throughout our game – from Fera's writing, its villagers, and in how you can affect lasting change in the game world."
Massive Damage co-founders and brothers Garry and Ken Seto will be onsite at this week’s Gamescom for demos and business meetings. The game will also be available for public demo as part of the Americas Indie Pavilion, Hall 10.2, Stand F013b during trade and public hours.
