Megaloot Offers a New Take on the RPG Genre

It looks like a of studios are doing what they can to offer something new to the RPG genre. This time it's developer axilirate with Megaloot. Describing the game as and inventory management roguelike RPG, it's where success is all about loot management.

If you're interested, you should be happy to know that Megaloot is now available for the PC via Steam. Not only that but it's currently being offered a 10% discount until September 7. Those not sure if the title is for them, they can always check out the free demo that's also on Steam.

A Mysterious Tower

Megaloot tells the story of a world where there is a a mysterious tower which replicate different types of objects from other realities. This has resulted in the creation of an indefinite space that's full to the brim not only with loot but also strange creatures, monsters, and even people. The thing is you now find yourself in this reality.

Anyway, once you enter the tower you learn that you'll have to take part in battles which need loot items. Basically, what the means is that to clear the floors of the tower, you'll have to use loot items to come up with those unique builds.

Getting Loot

Every time you defeat an enemy, you earn gold. This gold can then be used on new loot items. What you need to do is manage the loot in order to be stronger and increase chances to win the battle. You'll be absorbing the mythical powers of the items discarded.

In the game, there are two reasons for the loot. The first is that it can be equipped to improve the character. Second is that it can be consumed during the battle to get those immediate stat boosts. Once you clear each floor, you have the choose to dismantle the loot to obtain permanent stat gains.

Overall, there are more than 150 unique loot items with a lot of variations in terms of characteristics that have a synergistic effect to create unique builds.
