Developer Techland revealed that more than one million players have put on a wishlist for Dying Light: The Beast. This is indeed an interesting milestone considering that it's been barely 10 weeks since the game was first announced.

In a statement, the development team shared that they're truly happy by the incredible support given by the dedicated fans. In particular, Dying Light Franchise Director Tymon Smektała expressed his thanks in everyone for believing in them and this excitement from the players is the one that fuels their passion. He went on to say that they're "committed to delivering an unforgettable experience."

The Hero Returns

Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone zombie adventure that's set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods. Players take on the role of Kyle Crane, the man whose selflessness saved a lot from a fate worse than death during the initial virus outbreak. He was later experimented on and after 13 years of enduring those experiments, has managed to escape and is now hunting his captors to retribution. He learns though that there's far more at stake.

While the region is no longer as populated as it once was, there are still people and factions here. The horrors continue to be present. it's a place where some ask for help and others want to kill. Then there's the mysterious creature that’s turned the woods into its personal hunting grounds.

A Dangerous Place

Castor Woods was once a bustling tourist destination and now has become the home to a diminishing number of survivors along with an increasing population of zombies. This area has natural landmarks, small villages, and even industrial complexes. It offers a wide range of traversal options like using parkour skills to get the upper hand on enemies or hopping into an abandoned 4x4 to outrun the horrors of the night.

Day & Night

In the game, the day offers a lot of possibilities for players to explore the region. They’ll need to make the most of their time while the sun is out. That’s because after sundown, it is the laws of nature that take over. Darkness tends to bring out the worst in the horde and leaving everyone with no other choice but to run, hide, or fight.
