New Arc Line Introduces a World of Magic and Steampunk

Developer Dreamate and publisher Fulqrum Publishing announced a new title in New Arc Line. It's set in a world where arcane magic exists amidst a steampunk revolution. It's set to come out in 2024 for the PC through Steam and other digital stores. The game is also launching on other platforms that include the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Something Rotten Underneath

In the game, the New World looms on the horizon as seen as the shining city of progress. Players take on the role of a character looking to cure their family's fatal disease which is New Arc. They arrive to this foreign land in a steamship along with thousands of other immigrants. However, they soon learn that beauty is only skin deep and there is something rotten under the golden facade of the city.

Start from the Bottom

In addition to the dark smoke coming from the factories which have choked the skies, there's also corruption, inequality, and segregation. Players work their way from the bottom and rise to the top by making tough decisions and get their hands dirty when necessary. There's the choice to be a hero or a villain. However, they won’t be doing it along since they can find companions and form a party.

Be a Hero or Villain

Players get to create their very own character be it a Human, Dwarf, Elf, or Giant. They can customize the character by choosing the appearance, gender, and background. However, it's important to keep in mind that the inhabitants of the world have their own prejudices and treat the characters differently based on their choices. Players also get to meet and recruit different characters and learn their individual stories. There's the choice for players to fight demons together with the party and help them grow or use them for their own benefit and discard them when necessary.

Players can evolve their character through the detailed progression system which offers 6 character classes and 12 subclasses. They can choose to help their allies for example as a Celestial Sage or incinerate enemies by being a Hellfire occultist. Those who want to deal more pain can curse enemies through mystical Voodoo abilities. Of course, players can also go the other way and becomes a Steampunk mechanic, Teslapunk scientist, or Dieselpunk engineer.

While trying to make a name for themselves, players can influence the lives of many for better or worse.
